Crabs and Scabies

Pubic lice (“crabs”) and scabies (itch mites) can be transmitted from one person to another during sexual contact. These parasites cause intense itching, which may chafe the skin of the pubic area. Successful treatment with scabicides requires the decontamination of clothing and bedding.
