Kamasutra

While Hinduism has given rise to ascetic practices among holy men, it has also celebrated sexual pleasure in what is perhaps the most famous sexual manual in history—the Kamasutra (“love precepts”). It was written in the second century b.c.e. by the revered Indian sage, Vatsyayana. In it, Vatsyayana treats sexual intercourse as a means of spiritual enrichment and as an art that must be studied in order to bring profound joy. The Kamasutra instructs both men and women to give the highest priority to the pleasures of the senses and graphically details an astonishing variety of sexual techniques.
